Dr. Hristiyana Kisyova

Dr.ChristyDr. Christy as we call her, hails from Sofia, Bulgaria where she received her degree in Veterinary Science. She started working at Pulaski Animal Hospital in 2008 as a Veterinary Technician and finally put the white coat on in 2013.

An active runner, Dr. Christy has completed 3 Chicago Marathons and hopes to do more. Dr. Christy is grateful to her friends and family, both here and in Bulgaria, for helping her to succeed. In appreciation, she has recently volunteered her time at a couple community vaccination clinics. 

                                                                                                                                                                                               

Dr. Stan Kalata

Dr. Stan Kalata Dr. Stan Kalata has worked at Pulaski Animal Hospital for over 15 years. He was our head technician for over 10 years and in 2012, he earned his license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.

He was born on a small farm in Poland and graduated from the Agricultural University in Lublin in 2001 with a degree in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Kalata feels that working as a technician contributes to his being a well rounded veterinarian. He enjoys practicing Internal Medicine the most.

Dr. Kalata is active in the Polish American Medical Society and in his spare time he likes to run and spend time with his wife, daughter and extended family.

 

 

Adam Szpindor

Dr. Adam SzpindorDr. Adam Szpindor, the owner of Pulaski Animal Hospital, is a native of Poland and has lived on the Southwest Side of Chicago for 40 years. He received his Veterinary Degree in 1988 from the University of Warsaw. Dr. Szpindor has been at Pulaski Animal Hospital since 1994 and became the owner in 2001. 

His professional interest is in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. He currently limits his practice to surgical cases. 

Dr. Szpindor and his wife, Grace, enjoy hiking, biking and spending time with their family.

They share their home with a rescue Giant Schnauzer named Bartush and a tiny Poodle mix named Grzesz.

Dr. Szpindor is grateful to be able to practice in the community in which he grew up and where he continues to live.
